Wellington Sotu served the University of the Free State Library for 19 years to date as the Assistant and Law Librarian. During his serving period from different Library Units he championed quality service innovation in the library, and spearheaded the core concept of servicing the faculty and students in their research information needs, information literacy training, creating a strong relationship between the Library and the Law Faculty. He also actively participate in training Free State School Teachers and pupils who participate in National school Moot Court Competition. His idea is to create a well-rounded, independent undergraduate researcher from the early academic journey. In short, his service to the Law Faculty is far beyond the walls of the library that is exactly why their collective topic is Embedding Library Training into the Research Methodology module of programmes.
