Call for applications for grants for Conference attendance

 

It is with great pleasure that LIASA announces that the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) has made available  a grant in support of the 17th LIASA Annual Conference.  This grant will  amongst others provide the opportunity to 36 library practitioners to attend the LIASA Annual Conference.

You are invited to apply for a LIASA Conference Registration Grant sponsored by DAC, to attend the 17th LIASA Annual Conference to be held in Durban at the International Convention Centre from 11 – 14 October 2016. Preference will be given to applicants from Community and Public Libraries.

This grant will cover registration fees of the main conference only and the successful applicants must make their own arrangements regarding a pre-conference workshop, as well as travel and accommodation and will be responsible for the payment thereof.

The closing date for the application process is Friday 23 September 2016.  No late application will be considered.

Successful candidates will be notified no later than 30 September 2016.
