Dear Eastern Cape (and other) Librarians
Workshop on ICT Skills for Librarians
ICT forms an integral part of the LIS profession, and is not something separate. We need to instill confidence and trust when engaging with our users, and ICT should be something we use automatically and without even thinking, like a pen or pencil. We should further be able to contextualize IT, and use the best tool to be more productive.
LIASA and specifically the LIASA Eastern Cape Branch in collaboration with LIASA HELIG would therefore like to invite you to an ICT Capacity Building workshop, covering web page & blog development using WordPress, webinars using BigBlueButton, online forms using Google Forms, mailing lists using Google Groups, and more. Through this training we would like to empower others to take ICT forward within LIS, and also within the LIASA governing structures. This in the spirit of #libraries4lifelonglearning.
Come and join us for this highly interactive and stimulating workshop! Once you have registered we will issue you with an invoice to make the payment. Please only register if it is guaranteed that you will be able to make the payment by 20 May. No refunds can be made. Attendees will receive a LIASA attendance certificate once completed.
