LIASA-DAC Grants for IFLA attendance by South African Public Librarians

LIASA is pleased to announce that the Department of Arts and Culture has made available  a grant in support of South African Public Librarians’ attendance of the IFLA 81st World Library and Information Congress.   This grant will  provide the opportunity to 100 library practitioners from South African Community and Public Libraries to attend the IFLA Congress.

Library practitioners from South African Community and Public Libraries are therefore invited to apply for a IFLA Congress Registration Grant sponsored by DAC, to attend the IFLA 81st WLIC  to be held at the International Convention Centre in Cape Town from 16 – 21 August 2015.

This grant will cover registration fees of the main conference only and the successful applicants must make their own arrangements regarding pre-conferences or satellite meetings, and for travel and accommodation.  They will be responsible for the payment of these expenditures. The registration process and payment for registration will be handed by LIASA.

The closing date for applications is Friday 29 May 2015.

Successful candidates will be notified no later than Monday 15 June 2015.
