ABOUT THE WEBINAR:
IL strategies and tips, based on our experiences at CPUT Presented by Janine Lockhart, CPUT Library.
Much has been done at CPUT to integrate Information Literacy into the curriculum over the years: an institutional Information Literacy Policy from 2009; a university Information Literacy Committee (ILC) was formed to oversee and monitor all IL activities and reports to the Senate Teaching & Learning committee; an IL curriculum was developed; assessment strategies, a short course called Certificate of Information Literacy (CIL) was registered to support faculties since 2013; Advanced IL programme for M and D students since 2016; developing teaching skills of librarians and continuous research to measure impact and value. However, there is still much more to be done. With this webinar, tips and strategies will be shared based on our CPUT experiences as well as plans for the future.
