SLYSIG SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS for the 2nd Biennial SLYSIG Conference hosted by the School Libraries and Youth Interest Group
Theme: Librarians: Shaping the future – connecting, creating & transforming
Date: 28 – 29 June 2016
Venue: University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, Free State
You are hereby invited to submit proposals for papers and posters that will focus on areas related to the theme of this SLYSIG Conference.
The SLYSIG Conference will provide an opportunity for paper, poster and workshop presenters to explore issues related to reading, literacy and the dynamic role and practices of the librarian in our schools and youth communities. Please apply a sub-theme listed below to one of the following tracks:
- Primary School Libraries
- Secondary School Libraries
- FET College Libraries
Presentations can take the form of:
- Individual paper of 30 minutes (20 minutes speaking time and 10 minute question time)
- Workshop (1 hour)
- Colloquia (1 hour)
- Poster display
Please send your abstract in a MS Word document of no more than 200 words.
State your title, author(s) name(s), institution, email address and telephone number as well as the relevant track and sub-theme, and the form your presentation will take.
