Resource Centre Coordinator
This position will manage a Resource Centre for the Mpilonhle Economic Strengthening Programme with the aim to assist women between ages 18 and 24 with their future careers.

This Resource Centre is a One Stop Shopping place located in the Umfolozi Municipality of King Cetshwayo.
Main Tasks:

  • Develop and update Mpilonhle intranet that provides information on Local Businesses, NGOs, and Government agencies regarding Job Opportunities and Learner ship Programmes through the development of an intranet.
  • Update the Mpilonhle web site featuring the Economic Strengthening programme documenting stakeholders and businesses who actively take part of this initiative.
  • Assist and advice beneficiaries with filling in required paperwork such as application for bursaries, job applications, learnership programmes, registration of income generating activities.
  • Assists with editing CVs of the beneficiaries and job application letters.
  • Ensures all information materials are relevant and up to date.
  • Schedule individual career counselling sessions for the beneficiaries.
  • Collaborate with the Mpilonhle Economic Strengthing Programme Coordinator, Career Counsellor, and Entrepreneurship Coordinator.
  • Collaborates with SEDA and NYDA youth Centres regarding support for the beneficiaries.
  • Manage the computer labs for searches and assist when needed.

Knowledge skills and experience required for the job:

  • Qualification at tertiary level in a relevant discipline, which may include a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Library Science
  • Experience in working and developing Web sites.
  • Experience working with social media and information technology that speaks to the age group of the beneficiaries.
  • Excellent writing skills
