InfoLit Day
Join Western Cape Branch's Higher Education Libraries Interest Group (HELIG) in this two part workshop where the Information Literacy practices and journeys of academic institutions based in the Western Cape are surveyed and learnings shared with participants. This is a follow-up of the IL Workshop held three years ago.
The second part of the workshop takes the form of hot topics in IL in which presenters will share issues followed by discussions at the tables.
Workshop Objectives:
- To survey the academic IL Landscape in the Western Cape,
- To learn from each institution about its journey and practices in supporting IL in its environment,
- To enable participants to identify good practices and activities they could adopt in their own institutions,
- To provide an opportunity for participants to be exposed to a number of hot topic IL issues and enable discussion around these topics.
Workshop Outcomes:
- Participants would be exposed to good practices, strategies and activities that could be incorporated into their information literacy work and support for teaching in their institutions.
