Within the LIASA structures members have access to a number of publications.

LIASA-in-Touch

LIASA-in-Touch is the official magazine of the Library and Information Association of South Africa (LIASA).  It is published quarterly and currently reaches approximately 1800 members from across all the library and information services sectors.  The magazine circulates to the Academic, Public, School, and Special Libraries Sectors, including NGOs, resource centres, government libraries and knowledge centres.

Each issue has a particular focus, usually connected to the themes of LIASA projects or key events, such as SA Library Week and the LIASA Annual Conference.  In addition, Branch and Interest Group Activities, general news from libraries, updates on key issues in the sector and on LIASA programmes and corporate affairs are featured. 

Publication frequency and deadlines

The LIASA-in-Touch is published in March, June, September and December.

The closing date for articles etc. is approximately 6 weeks prior to the 1^st day of the month of publication, these being:

• For the March Issue: 21 January
• For the June Issue: 15 April
• For the September Issue: 17 July
• For the December Issue: 15 October

The South African Journal of Libraries and  Information Science (SAJLIS) is the official, accredited academic journal of the Library and Information Association (LIASA).    The SAJLIS is an open access journal and can be accessed here.
