How to get to the hotel and conference venue:
The hotel is easily accessible by all methods of transport and is connected to major highways.
Guest arriving at OR Tambo International Airport can book to use the hotel's complimentary shuttle service.
For guests arriving by car, the hotel offers ample complimentary parking. The hotel is located 10 kilometers from the OR Tambo International Airport and it takes approximately 10 minutes to drive between the airport and the hotel, depending on traffic.
Application: Grants for attending the LIASA-SCECSAL 2022 Conference

LIASA is calling for applications from paid-up individual 2022
members for attendance grants for the LIASA-SCECSAL 2022 Conference, to
be held from 4 - 7 October 2022. These grants are made possible
through the generous sponsorship of the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
Please note:
- Only online application forms will be accepted - see the form below.
- Forms must be completed in English.
- Applicants who applied for a grant to attend in person must make pay their own travel and accommodation costs - the grant covers registration fees only
- Applicants who applied for a grant to attend the conference virtually must have their own equipment and data to attend the Virtual Conference
- The closing date for receiving applications for this grant is Thursday 22 September 2022 at 23:59.
Criteria:
- Preference will be given to applicants from the Public and Community Libraries in South Africa.
- Only individual paid up members for the current year will be considered.
- Preference will be given to individual paid-up members with 3 years or more current consecutive LIASA membership
- Applicants must not have registered or paid for conference attendance as yet.
Terms and Conditions:
- Each grantee must submit a report within 30 days of the close of
the conference. Report specifications and questions will be emailed to
the grantees after the Conference. Failure to submit a report will
disqualify you for all future grants.
- Should you have been awarded a grant and failed to attend, you might have to refund the equivalent of the registration fee.
- Grants awarded are not transferable.
- No cash payments will be made to any grantee.
- The selection committee's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- Applicants must have prior consent from their line manager / head of the institution before their application is submitted.
- Applications close at midnight on Thursday 22 September 2022. No late applications will be considered.

I hereby declare that all the information provided below is correct.
I further understand that I will not be supplied with equipment or data
to attend the Virtual Conference or receive financial assistance for travel and accommodation costs, and will have to have to find other
financial support for these expenses should I be successful in my
application for a grant to attend the LIASA-SCECSAL 2022 Conference. I
also declare that I have permission from my employer to apply to attend
at the LIASA-SCECSAL 2022 Conference and that my employer will grant me
leave of absence for the duration.
