At the Special General Meeting of 20 May 2024, the members of the newly elected LIASA Board was announced. These LIASA members are elected for the period 2024 - 2027.

• Mr Charlie Molepo took over the role of LIASA President and will chair the LIASA Board.
• Professor Lefose Makgahlela was elected as LIASA President-Elect

The Sector Chairs elected into their respective portfolios are as follows:

• Ms Dina Mashiyane - Academic and Research Libraries
• Ms Shanitha Bhim - Public and Community Libraries
• Ms Mmaditshipi Seageng - Special Libraries

The Sector Chairs for School Libraries and LIS Education remain vacant, having had no nominations forwarded for these positions. A communication will be issued regarding the way forward to fill these Board vacancies.
