South African Library Week Competition 2021

Competition Winners

LIASA and Mindex would like to invite you to take part in a South African Library Week (SALW) 2021 competition with the theme “Libraries Matter!”

Write a paragraph or essay of no more than 200 words on why Libraries Matter! Entries can be submitted via one of the following:

• the online form below, or
• email it to salw@liasa.org.za as a Word or PDF attachment

Answer the following questions:

1. Your name and surname
2. Name the library you work at or visit most often
3. Your 200 word essay

The competition closed on 22 March 2021

Prizes:

4 x e-vouchers worth R500.00 each kindly sponsored by Mindex

1. This competition is open to any staff member, student, patron, user, learner, or scholar from any South African library. LIASA staff and EXCO members are not eligible for entry.
2. Entrants may send multiple unique entries (i.e. they cannot send multiple entries with the same content), however should they be selected as the winner, they can only qualify for one prize.
3. Entries not sent to the stipulated email address will not be eligible for prizes
4. The competition opens on 10 March 2021 and closes on 22 March 2021. No early or late submissions will be accepted.
5. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. The winners will be announced on the LIASA website and social media on 29 March 2021.
   
7. The sponsors of the prizes may contact you for promotional photos or interviews.
