The idea of finding the right journal to publish in came from one of HELIG Journal Reading Clubs in 2021. The presenter shared a story of how he struggled to find the right journal to publish his article: The fake news wave: Academic libraries' battle against misinformation during COVID-19.

It is every researcher's dream to publish their research in the right journal. The biggest challenge is choosing the best journal for your publication. Therefore, it is very important for the researchers to make good decisions on where to publish their research work and identify good journals to subscribe. These challenges can be time consuming and daunting at times. Journal citation report is one of the products that is currently being used in the research landscape to guide the researchers through providing journal citation data and statistics needed to make an informed decision.

d.           Ranking of journals

e.           Comparing journals

Thus, this webinar will unpack the activities related to choosing the right journal (accredited, high impact factor, top 25% of journals, journal citation and more....) using the Journal Citation Report.
