#IGBISwithLeaders: Mandla Ntombela

A new year, and a new series of insightful conversations with #IGBISwithLeaders! IGBIS, your Interest Group for Bibliographic Standards, is excited to announce Mr Mandla Ntombela as our first guest speaker for 2023.

Mr Ntombela has filled several vital leadership positions in the library and information profession over the years. He served as LIASA president during the 2016-2018 term, following which he held the presidentship of the African Library and Information Association (AfLIA) from 2019 through 2021. Mr Ntombela was City Librarian for Mzunduzi Municipal Library Services from 2012 until 2020. Thereafter he took the post of CEO at the South African Library for the Blind (SALB). Mandla’s roles reflect his dedication to provision of library and information services to communities with diverse needs.
